🩺 Hydroxyurea Madac 500 mg (Hydroxyurea madac 500mg capsules): Anticancer capsule (antineoplastic) and antimetabolite used for treating chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), head and neck cancer (advanced squamous cell, with radiotherapy), and sickle cell anemia. In cancer, by inhibiting ribonucleotide reductase enzyme, it disrupts DNA synthesis and stops cancer cell growth. In sickle cell anemia, it increases fetal hemoglobin (HbF), improves red blood cell deformability, and reduces painful attacks (vaso-occlusive crises) and blood transfusion needs.
